Bromford sets up £160m partnership with four builders to deliver up to 400 homes per year

The new contractor and development framework agreement – called the Bromford Construction Partnership (BCP) – will run across four years and includes Galliford Try Partnerships, Lovell Partnerships, E G Carter and Speller Metcalfe.

Bromford – which owns and manages about 30,000 homes – said the partnership is divided into small, medium and large developments and will deliver around 1,100 homes across the duration of the contract, while also enabling a larger-scale programme of regeneration.

The affordable homes will be built from Worcestershire to Bristol, and predominantly focused on the wider Gloucestershire area.

It said the approach will “maximise successful land opportunities, the provision of new energy efficient homes, drive up productivity, consistency and cost efficiency, as well as creating local jobs, apprenticeships and work experience opportunities”.

The partners will meet regularly to identify and progress opportunities in the area of operation.

Bromford was announced as a strategic partner for Homes England in January, receiving £66m in grant funding, and has an in-house construction team that predominantly operates in the Midlands.

Martyn Blackman, executive director of new homes at Bromford, said: “Forming a genuine partnership approach with organisations whose ambition and values align with our own is a key part of the Bromford strategy.”
