Clarion’s chief executive Keith Exford has announced his retirement.
Mr Exford, who leads the association which was recently created through the merger of Affinity Sutton and Circle, will retire at the end of the financial year.
He has spent more than 40 years in social housing, including 30 as a chief executive.
Neil Goulden, chair of Clarion Housing Group, said: “Keith’s impressive career started at the London Borough of Southwark and ultimately saw him create the country’s largest housing association – Clarion. Throughout Keith has used his experience and influence to bring about positive change in the sector, and this contribution was recognised through his being awarded a CBE in 2015.
“His work will carry on through the appointment of a new group chief executive, who will continue to deliver on Clarion’s bold targets.”
