Councils warn 10-year rent settlement at CPI+1% ‘highly unlikely’ to increase housebuilding
A 10-year rent settlement at the Consumer Price Index (CPI) plus one per cent is “highly unlikely” to drive an uptick in new homes and a return to rent convergence is also needed, councils have said.
