Gordon More, who was at the helm of Homes England as interim chief executive for eight months, has joined real estate company JLL.
Mr More has joined JLL as a senior consultant following a 30-year career in banking and finance.
JLL, a Fortune 500 company with annual revenue of $16.6bn (£12.1bn) in 2020 and operations in over 80 countries, is a professional services firm that specialises in real estate and investment management.
Prior to a spell as interim chief executive of Homes England ahead of the arrival of new permanent incumbent Peter Denton, Mr More was chief investment officer at the agency. Here, he played a key role in building the investment team and leading the deployment of capital in support of the government’s housing strategy.
Mr More has also worked at Bank of Scotland, HBOS and Lloyds Banking Group.
Before leaving Lloyds in 2014, Mr More was a managing director of Lloyds’ Business Support Unit with responsibility for a multibillion-pound non-core loan portfolio across multiple real estate asset classes.
Andrew Frost, director – head of UK and EMEA residential at JLL, said: “Gordon’s expertise in the UK living and financial services sectors is hard to surpass, with senior executive roles across both the public and private sectors.
“In Gordon, we have acquired an exceptional individual, with a stellar reputation, who shares our passion for providing outstanding client solutions. We are confident his appointment will help our clients achieve their ambitions, particularly in the residential world.”
As of June 2021, JLL had a global workforce of more than 92,000 people.
