For-profit registered provider Sage Housing recruits Laing O’Rourke residential head to its board #ukhousing #socialhousingfinance

Filings at Companies House show that Mr Trusler became a director at a number of the group’s companies on 2 November, including Sage Rented, Sage Shared Ownership and Sage Housing.

Sage confirmed to Social Housing that the role is that of non-executive director.

Mr Trusler’s previous appointments include as a non-executive director on the board of South West-based housing association Aster for five years, including chairing its remuneration and nominations committee, before leaving the organisation on 31 October.

Mr Trusler’s appointment at Sage follows a number of leadership changes at the provider. In May Sage Housing’s former chief executive Joe Cook left the organisation, and Rod Cahill, a previous chief executive of Catalyst, took up the role on an interim basis.

Mr Cook’s departure saw him join Home Group as executive director of development, replacing Brian Ham, who in turn joined Sage as its director of acquisitions.

Sir Michael Lyons, chair of Sage Housing’s sister organisation Sage Partnerships, also stepped down in May this year.
