People: Hyde, Radian, Sussex, Equity, Catalyst, Moat, Tower Hamlets

A number of senior housing professionals have been appointed to new roles.

Hyde
Peter Denton (pictured) has joined the Hyde Group as group finance director.
Mr Denton, who has 23 years of experience in the real estate sector, joins from Starwood Capital Group where as a partner for five years he managed the firms special situations and credit investing businesses in Europe.
He was also the fund manager for Europe’s largest publicly traded real estate finance company. Prior to this, he held senior EMEA real estate investment banking roles at BNP Paribas, Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Eurohypo and WestImmo. Steve Aleppo, who had been interim group FD, has become director of corporate services.

Radian
Anne Costain is set to replace Andrew Newberry as director of finance at Radian. Meanwhile Peter Evans will replace Andrea Smith when he becomes acting director of development and technical services.
Both Mr Newberry and Ms Smith, director of development and new business, will be retiring.
Ms Costain joined Radian in 2012 as deputy FD and was appointed director of finance designate in July 2016, having worked at De La Rue, Vishay and Aon. She is a chartered accountant and qualified corporate treasurer.
Mr Evans takes on a wider remit from his current role as director of technical services.

Catalyst
Catalyst has restructured its leadership team and appointed two of its members to new roles.
Rachael Dennis, the existing executive director of finance and IT has been appointed chief operating officer.
Tom Titherington, executive director of business development & market intelligence, has been announced as the new executive director of property & growth.
Executive director of property, Julia Moulder, will be leaving after 24 years at Catalyst at the end of June 2017.

Sussex Housing & Care
Sussex Housing & Care has appointed a new leadership team, including Tracy Evans as chief executive. Ms Evans is a former housing director and head of housing for Affinity Sutton and Eastbourne Homes.
Sarah Roebuck has joined as finance director. She was previously FD at Brighton Housing Trust and has worked across healthcare, education and banking. New director of housing and care, Amanda Hodge, also joined the team at the end of February 2017 from Wealden District Council.

Equity Housing
Equity Housing Group has appointed Collette King as its new chief executive officer.
Ms King has been with the business for four months and previously worked for the First Ark Group where she was executive director of business transformation.
The appointment coincides with news of Equity Housing Group being awarded a top financial regulatory rating of V1.
David Fisher, who had been CEO since 2009, has left the group.

Havebury & THCH
Suffolk-based Havebury Housing has appointed its head of housing, Anita Jones, as its new director of operations. She will take over from current director of operations and deputy chief executive Philip Sullivan, who will be moving to Tower Hamlets Community Housing as their new chief executive.

Moat
David Hart has joined Moat as director of corporate finance and risk.
Mr Hart joined from Catalyst in January 2017, where he had been director of financial services for just under a year.
Prior to that he was director of resources at CHP (Chelmer Housing Partnership).

Look Ahead
Julie Jones has been appointed as the organisation’s next chair.
She will succeed Stephen Alexander in the summer, who is stepping down after more than six years in the role.
Ms Jones is an existing member of Look Ahead’s board and was deputy chief executive of Westminster City Council where she had responsibility for adults’, children’s and strategic housing and homelessness services. From 2007-2012, she was chief executive of the Social Care Institute for Excellence (SCIE).

DTP
Alison Jennings has joined the David Tolson Partnership as a senior consultant.
Ms Jennings is a treasury specialist with more than 18 years’ experience in the social housing sector. She joins DTP from the Homes and Communities Agency where she was a senior financial analyst. Prior to that she was head of treasury at the Sovini Group.

Lovell
Contractor Lovell has appointed a new regional managing director for Scotland. Stephen Profili joins Lovell after 16 years at Cala Homes. He will oversee Lovell’s expansion across Scotland.

Willmott Dixon
Willmott Residential has appointed Liz Catchpole as a non-executive director its board.
Her previous experience includes chief financial officer at Swiss Re Life & Health UK, finance director at Chelsfield Partners and group finance director of Avant Homes.
Ms Catchpole is currently non-executive director and audit chairman of Investec Wealth and Investment.
